2Justification
The problem or need
Once complete, the SCA Academy campus in Riyadh will be short of an estimated 2,300 parking spaces on test and event days, so trainees and contractors arrive late.
Today
Parking occupancy at the current premises is 118% at peak, and 25% of late arrivals at in-person tests are down to looking for a space.
3Objectives
- Three smart multi-storey car parks under a build-operate-transfer partnership with a private operator.
Strategic objectives served
- SO-2.2 — A collaborative environment across the sector
- SO-3.3 — A better contractor experience and service quality
4Expected benefits
| Kind | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Revenue | An estimated SAR 6M a year in concession revenue |
| Time saved | Time spent looking for parking down 70% |
