2Justification
The problem or need
Maintenance of 46 SCA buildings and centres runs on a calendar, not on actual condition, so money goes where it is not needed and test halls fail without warning.
Today
There is no single digital model of the buildings, and as-built drawings and systems data sit in separate files per contractor.
3Objectives
- A digital twin of the headquarters and qualification centres that combines building information models, sensors and hall occupancy to predict faults and direct maintenance.
Strategic objectives served
- SO-3.1 — SCA services and programmes in every region
- SO-2.3 — Transparency and open sector information
4Expected benefits
| Kind | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Cost saving | Maintenance cost down 18% through condition-based work |
| Time saved | Faults caught six months before they show |
